Letters of Robert Elswick to his family in Newark. The letters begin when he is in boot camp and end five days before his death in Vietnam. Robert had three younger siblings at home, his mother was a housewife his father worked at Owens Corning and raced cars at National Trails. Bob had worked at Roper before being drafted. In September of 1966 his best friend from Newark, Jack Brown was Killed in Vietnam. Bob would go home and be the escort at the funeral. To read the letters click on the date.
